Vision Awareness Activity:

Background Information:

Legally blind means a person cannot see at all or their vision is very, very bad.  

Try this:

Have one person walk another blindfolded around the inside or outside of the building.

What you need:

Blindfolds

Directions:

• Get into groups of two .
• One person puts on the blindfold and the other person leads.
• Walk the person with the blindfold around.
• Change roles and repeat.

Talk about it:

1. How did you feel when you were the leader?
2. How did you feel when you couldn’t see where you were going?
3. What are some things you learned about not being able to see?
